Dr. Terry Moffitt

Terry Moffitt played basketball and received his BA in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; M.Ed. in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro and his doctorate from Jacksonville Theological Seminary.  He earned his certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University in February 2006.

From 2002-2005 Terry served as the  Superintendent of Richmond Christian School in Richmond, VA.  Terry also served as the High School Principal at Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, North Carolina for eight years.  WCA is the largest Wesleyan school in the world.  Terry was elected to the High Point City Council in 1989, and served for three years as a High Point City Councilman. During that time he wrote, and passed, North Carolina’s first Adult Entertainment Ordinance containing licensing provisions.  Since that time the ordinance has been used in more than 80 cities across the country to control sexually oriented businesses. In 1993, Terry was part of a team, which went to Russia, at the request of the Russian Government, to teach Russian teachers and administrators how to implement a course in Biblical Morals and Ethics in their public schools and colleges.  In December 1994, the House Committee on Education and Labor enlisted him to help establish and prioritize the education agenda of the 104th Congress. Terry also served on the Advisory Board for the Sports and Entertainment Marketing Curriculum project undertaken by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.  In addition, he is an Adjunct Professor of School Law in the graduate program at Columbia International University and teaches leadership and the Political Action major each summer at the East Coast Summits at Bryan College and Cedarville University.

In 1999 Cambridge, England’s International Biographical Center named him as one of the “2000 Outstanding Religious Personalities of the 20th Century in the areas of Education and Legal and Legislative Affairs.” He has also been named to "Who's Who Worldwide," “Who’s Who Among Businesses and Executives,” "Who's Who in American Education," and "Who's Who Among America's Educators."

Terry is the founder and President of The TCMI Group, which has worked with  businesses, ministries, schools and political groups in areas ranging from research, marketing and planning to risk assessment and management. Since its formation in 1995 the TCMI Group has worked with clients in 45 states and 22 countries. Terry is also in demand as a speaker, addressing an average of 75-100 groups per year on a variety of topics.

Terry has appeared on numerous national and regional television and radio shows, including The BBC, Rita Cosby’s Foxwire, Fox and Friends, Nightline, NBC’s The Today Show, The USA Radio Network, Radio America, The Barry Farber Show, American Family Radio and TBN, as an expert in a wide variety of areas ranging from education to political affairs. He is also been interviewed for articles in such publications as The Washington Post, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The London Telegraph, The London Guardian  and others. He received an Angel Award in 1995 for Inspirational Programming.  Besides writing and editing the e-publication, The TCMI Briefing, he has written for publications such as Charisma Magazine, Teaching for the Master, The GOP Eagle, The Pathfinder and The Carolina Christian News.  Terry resides in High Point, North Carolina with his wife Cindy.
